The Sims 4 is getting werewolves at long last, something fans have been requesting for years now, but the reception hasn't been positive—they're being called fursuits, Cats lookalikes, and uncanny valley, with it bleeding from TikTok to Twitter to Reddit, amusing Sims fans everywhere.
"I'm more irked by the feet," kyvampire wrote. "Like flat human feet on a werewolf just looks… wrong." Others chimed in saying the feet are too small and short, or not fluffy enough—there's a lot of discussion happening around these furry moon worshippers' feet. Others think they're designed in a bid to specifically please furries, while some are holding out hope for more customisation that lets them vary from the cute we've seen to scarier, embracing the more gruelling side of werewolves.

But the harshest—and some of the most common—comparisons are to the 2019 Cats movie starring James Corden and Taylor Swift. The uncanny human-like features of the werewolves are creating lots of side-by-side memes, only egged on by the fact that these werewolves wear collars. Human collars.
Perhaps the most obscure comparison is to Scary Godmother, a comic and novel turned TV movie. It too features werewolves, albeit with very early 2000s CGI, hence the comparisons. And while perhaps there's an intent to appeal to the furry market, some highlight that furry modders have taken a crack at werewolves before, musing that EA should hire them to handle the animalistic side of The Sims.
But it's not all rampant negativity: "You're all making it like these werewolves are the ugliest things ever," ShouRonbou wrote. "Don't you remember the disasters that were The Sims 3 werewolves? Those motherfuckers were ugly as fuck."
People were quick to defend their judgement, saying that they look more like foxes and cats while also being too humanoid. "Werewolves aren't supposed to be attractive," another comment chimed in. "These look like they were torn straight out of a cartoon."
